‘SNL’ Scores Dynamic Duo Justin Timberlake And Jimmy Fallon For December Show

Are you ready for Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon to take over Saturday Night Live? Today, it was announced that the dynamic duo are ready to have some fun on SNL.

The live sketch comedy show has been a staple for both Fallon and Timberlake. For Fallon, it's a return to the home where the talk show host planted some strong roots for seven years as a regular player. As for Timberlake, he showed he was worthy of being more than a bubblegum artist, after he practically launched his solo career through his stints as musical guest and host.

This time around, Timberlake will take the position of musical guest and Jimmy Fallon will take over hosting duties for the show on December 21. That said, we don't expect Justin Timberlake to sit pretty as musical guest.

Jimmy Fallon even got a head start on it by tweeting at Timberlake:

.@jtimberlake got any ideas? December 21st SNL

It's a pretty strong indicator that Justin will be a part of the sketches in some capacity. Even when he's been a musical guest on the show, Timberlake has always gone above and beyond the call, whether it be in a digital short or appearing in a sketch. Considering these two have already proved that they have amazing chemistry together, we would be surprised if they didn't collaborate on some sketches during the night.

For Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon, their chemistry really started to turn into something special when they played Robin and Barry Gibb on the SNL sketch "Barry Gibb Talk Show." The sketch featured the two singing loudly and shouting at Barry's panel of guests.

From there, Timberlake followed Fallon over to his late night talk show for a slew of different viral sensations. The two have also done a four-part series of rapping medleys called The History of Rap.

Earlier in the year to kick off Justin Timberlake's new album, Jimmy Fallon announced that it was "Timberweek" on his show. Fallon dedicated the couch to Timberlake, which involved the two partaking in comedic sketches, music-based sketches, and of course, another installment of The History of Rap.

Most recently, the two had another viral hit on their hands when they made fun of the hashtag symbol by framing a whole conversation around the twitter speak.

Currently, Timberlake is tied with Ben Affleck for hosting Saturday Night Live five times. It would be interesting to see if Fallon can capitalize on some of Justin's most memorable digital shorts from SNL like "D-k In A Box." What do you think the two will have in store come December 21?
